How to Adopt a Kitten

Our Approach
More than a transaction —
it's a relationship
We don't run a shop — we run a small, carefully managed breeding programme, and every kitten we place is a member of the Ragnarok family for life. Our process exists to make sure each kitten goes to a home that understands and welcomes the breed's needs, and to give you everything you need to feel confident in your decision. Below you'll find our full process, what we look for in a home, our pricing structure, answers to common questions, and our adoption questionnaire.
Welcome Home
At 13–16 weeks, take home your vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped kitten with a starter pack, care guide, and our lifetime support.
Meet in Person
By appointment, visit the cattery to meet Polka, our Stud, and your kitten — and see exactly how our cats are raised.
Secure Your Spot
A deposit reserves your chosen kitten and places you on our waiting list for future litters if nothing is currently available.
A Chat With Us
We'll arrange a call or video chat to discuss your application, answer your questions, and talk through current or upcoming kittens that may suit you.
Submit the Questionnaire
Complete our short form below, telling us about your home, household, and what you're looking for in a companion.

Is a Wegie right for you?
Norwegian Forest Cats are wonderful, but they're not the right fit for every household. Here's an honest look at both sides.
You'll likely be a great match if...
-
You want a social, people-oriented cat that follows you around the house
-
You have a safe, enriched indoor space (or supervised outdoor access)
-
You're ready for a large breed — Wegies keep growing until 3–5 years old
-
You're happy to brush a dense double coat a few times a week
-
You're comfortable staying in touch with us for the cat's lifetime
Please consider carefully if...
-
You're looking for a low-maintenance, hands-off pet
-
Your household can’t supervise interactions with very young children
-
You travel often without reliable care arrangements
-
You want a cat that’s content being left alone for long stretches
-
Budget is tight for quality food, grooming tools, and routine vet care
